Sybille wins the GEORGIA PRO of the FWT

The FWT by Peak Performance season kicked into high gear today with the first FWT Pro event in Georgia in perfect conditions. It was the last stop before the FWT Finals, with titles - and careers - on the line.

Khakhiani - or კახიანი in Georgian - was the chosen venue, covered in dry, fluffy snow from summit to finish line, providing immaculate conditions for the world's best freeriders. With plenty of creative options - mixed with a complex network of features - the athletes were enticed to really go for it... which they did.

Verbier's Sybille Blanjean needed something special to make the cut today, and she delivered a colossal performance. Taking no time to find her line, Sybille sent a huge turn into the face before switching on cruise control and combining a couple of gentle drops with another huge turn in the lower section. Hedvig Wessel (NOR) went full throttle in the Khakhiani wall, showing impeccable style in the air and taking second place, just ahead of Lily Bradley (USA) in third.

I am super happy to put down that run, especially with how nervous I was at the top. There were a lot of questions in my mind, so I am happy that it paid off. Thank you, Georgia! It means so much to make the cut and have my ticket to compete at home in Verbier.
