They did it again! Super-G Bormio

After their remarkable successes in the downhill the day before, where Justin Murisier finished a strong fourth place and Marco Kohler tenth, the Swiss athletes continued their strong performance in the super-G.

Justin Murisier, once a specialist in the giant slalom, secured an impressive fifth place, the best result of his super-G career. "I know it's one of my best super-G results. The podium would have been possible today," Murisier commented disappointedly in the SRF interview. His best Super-G result to date was fifth place in Saalbach 2021.

Marco Kohler, who started the race in 46th place, put in a solid performance and finished in 13th place, underlining his skills and potential on this challenging course. The consistently strong performances of the Swiss athletes promise exciting competitions and give hope for further success this season.

The journey now takes them to Switzerland: Adelboden is the venue for the giant slalom on January 6 and the slalom on January 7. On the Chuenisbärgli, the organizers are defying the lack of snow and fighting resolutely to hold the races. A week later, it's on to Wengen, where two downhill races, a super-G and a slalom are on the program. Despite the challenges, the organizers are determined to make top-class competitions possible.
